You can choose how to get subscriptions of Forums. Any posts of New Threads in that forum will be delivered to your e-mail in the manner you choose. Either Instantly upon post, Daily or Weekly. From your Control Panel, Click on Options on the left side. You will see the options as listed in the photo.

Any Forum that you Subscribe to will still give you the option for delivery. Some Forums you can get instant, others, you can get Daily or Weekly. Setting this setting from your control panel just sets the default choice as the first option. Each Forum Subscription can still be controlled independently.
