"What happened to my post?"
"My post is gone!"

If you posted a reply that strays off topic to the original post in a thread, your post may have been moved to it's own, brand new thread.

If you posted a duplicate reply or thread in multiple forums, the duplicates may have been deleted if not just ALL of the same posts.

If you started a new thread and can't find it, we may have moved/merged it to the correct forum, removed it from the forums if it should be in the business reviews or classifieds, or deleted it (rare). Remember, not all threads belong in General Discussion. Please choose the forum that is most appropriate for your thread topic and PLEASE use the "check if already posted" button to see if your question has not already been addressed in the past few years.

Below are some notes on the types of posts that belong in a few of our forums. These seem to be the forums where we are most commonly moving/removing threads from. If you have had a post recently moved and you think this post is directed at you, believe me, it is not. We do move a lot of posts on a regular basis and that just means that we need to do a better job of defining what belongs where so information is accessible and easily found when you need it.

Thanks!!

GENERAL DISCUSSION - for topics directly related to Eastvale, i.e., roads, ordinances, taxes, neighborhood specific problems, etc.

OFF TOPIC - Stuff about Norco, Corona, the movie you saw last week, american idol, venting, and general rants should go in OFF TOPIC.

CRIME - This forum is NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR REPORTING A CRIME. Please use this forum to share criminal activity that has happened to you or your neighbors HERE IN EASTVALE. Feel free to reply if you have RELEVANT information to the crime or if something similar happened to you or friends/neighbors HERE IN EASTVALE. Riverside Sheriff deputies have access to the crime forum and receive an email for each post in that forum. They HAVE used the information to help solve/prevent crimes.

GOODS & SERVICES - This forum is where a member might post a question on where to find a good or service in or near Eastvale. Once a business is mentioned, there is no need to second or third the recommendation. If you have something to say about a business (positive or negative) please use the Business Reviews section for that. Goods & Services used to be where a member could post their gently used items for sale - not anymore. Please post your for sale items, yard sale announcements, freebies and "want to buy" inquiries in the Classifieds section.

BUMP
in addition, regarding the crime forum: Deputies get an email for EACH reply in a crime thread. Please don't waste their time with unrelated/tangent discussions or responses that are not relevant to the issue being reported.

I posted something this morning about the new urgent care facility - I put it under general discussion - thought the information would be helpful to residents trying to decide whether to use the facility or not - confused?? - what happened to the post.

Please read the original post in the thread regarding business reviews.

So was his post moved to the Business Reviews? I didn't find it there. There was also a post a couple of weeks back about finding/meeting Chinese and Thai people in Eastvale that has disappeared from the forums. It was a widely used thread with over 600 hits on it.

Please read the admin threads and forum rules. Nothing should be a surprise if users do that. No it was not moved, it was removed. If someone wants a business review, they should add the company to the business reviews section if they aren't already listed. As for the Chinese/Thai thread, I am aware everyone does not read every single thread, but if you had read the Admin Clean Up thread (http://www.eastvaleresidents.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18179) you can guess that it was removed with the other 93 threads that did not belong in General Discussion.

I was also confused over this because I posted an Event that will occur in Corona in a couple of weeks in the OFF TOPIC section and that also disappeared. It was about the Zumba Master Class I'm holding at the UFC Gym there. I got the feeling that there's some bias going on about who's posts are being kept and which ones are deleted and Yes I read the rules. :confused

Please read them again. No business promotions.

I understand that there is a place for business promotions however I felt that the Urgent Care facility that I was referring to in my post was just making residents aware that there was an excellent health facility in our community. I guess I didn't think of it as a competing business with other health facilities because it is the only one in town. I often see people express their opinions in the general discussions format so I thought it was the appropriate place to let residents know about a health facility that was available to them.

Your urgent care thread had nothing to do with promoting a business. It was a review and if you want to write comments about a business (good or bad), it belongs in the business reviews section. I don't need reasons or excuses, no one is "in trouble" and the rules aren't changing. Lets just leave it alone.

I did not write that to be confrontational, but rather to apologize for putting it in the wrong place. I do feel your response to be abrasive and not necessary. You might want to consider how you respond to people. I was only explaining myself not making excuses. This forum needs to treat people in a more respectful manner - I did not feel I warranted that kind of response - it was sarcastic and hurtful. I am a very kind and caring person who is always there to help neighbors and friends. I do not go on this website attacking people as I so often see, even if I don't like what they are saying. I was truly appalled at how you responded. It doesn't hurt to be nice.

I always say, talk to people here as if you were talking face to face.

I didn't say you were confrontational nor did i attack anyone. Read whatever you want into the tone of my message. I said no one was "in trouble" to mean an apology wasn't necessary. Not a big deal. I too am a kind and caring person who helps and volunteers in this community. I've said it before, I don't have time for flowery prose and making everyone feel warm and fuzzy.
And I don't have a problem talking like this to anyone in person either Dave.

If you have an issue, PM me and/or Mike. Take it offline.

No problem here, just appreciating kind treatment on the site.
