Creating Avatar and sig

Would someone tell me how to create an Avatar and sig line.

Would someone tell me how to create an Avatar and sig line.
Both are done in your User Control Panel, in the top left side of the menu as "User CP". Once in your control panel, you will see some menu items going down the left hand side.

for the avatar, select "edit avatar". On the next screen is where you would use option 1 to "point" to an image on the web, or option 2 to upload the image you want to use as your avatar from your computer. keep in mind that there are file size restrictions which gets a bit more confusing for some users. It's easy to just pull an image from an avatar or icon website if you don't already have what you want on your computer.

for the signature, select "edit signature". On the next screen you would type what you want your signature to look like, use the available formatting buttons to bold or color your text or add a link. Below the text box is an area where you once again, can select to have an image in your signature, following the same option 1 or 2 procedures as for an avatar.

You can probably do a google search for avatars? I just grabbed a picture that I liked that was part of an email someone sent me a while ago. There are size limts to the pictures, I think they are somewhere around 115 x 100?

There are tons of avatar sites. Iconator.com is one, but like mine, I did a google image search for Joe Dirt, found one I like, resized it (max is 115x115) and just used it.

Hey Mike.

I went to change my quote today under my tinkerbell in my sig, but when I try to save it, it gives me this error. "BB code size value is too big."

The quote I'm trying to put is actually shorter than the one I have now, so I don't get the prob.

Any suggestions?

The max font size for signatues is 4, which looks like this. Maybe you were trying to go bigger.

I think it was the font size you were coming up against and no the line size. Please confirm and I think I can change the phrase to be more specific.

I even tried reducing the font size to1 and still got the same message.

I tried again today and was able to do it! :)
