Incorrect Unread Posts

Some of you may have noticed a wierd thing with unread posts this morning. I noticed it too. It appears the amount of unread posts were incorrect.

There was an upgrade maintenance done early AM on our ad server that serves up our ad banners. Even though this was done in a different database, there was a global site change that probably had this effect.

You can clear all messages and mark them as read by going to Quicl Links > Mark Forums Read to clear the unread messages if you want.

Morning Mike!

I think you have another hiccup on this site - the unread posts are showing the old business reviews/crime reports from several months ago, not the posts that were posted yesterday that I haven't read yet.

Thanks. I may just run a database cleaning tonight which may reset things once and for all. We added a security layer to the site a few days ago for te ad server and did not think it would affect "unread messages" whatsoever.

Just do the Mark Forums as read to remove them.
