that's how it's working for me, i think? maybe we aren't busy enough for me to know for sure. I'll have to wait until there are 3 or more new posts on a thread before i click on the NP button and then see where it takes me.

Just wondering, don't have to, but just a suggestion. Perhaps under get posts you can add a mark all posts as read. I always use the link on top that takes me to the unread posts and they were mostly news that I didn't want to read. Having a mark posts as read would reset it. I'm anal I guess, and lazy. Don't want to hit all of them just to make them go away.
![]() Anyway, just a suggestion. Thanks! ~B~ |

Do you mean adding a Mark Forms Read option on the Get Posts Drop Down like the one in the Quick Links Drop Down? I can always substitute the Quick Links "Mark Forums Read" with another link to a feature.

ok. I will move it over. Maybe tonight. I may remove a few of the days on the Get Posts, I do not want to make that menu too long. It loads slower too.

This is done. I removed a few days from the Get Posts Menu and added the Mark as Read to the bottom.
I also removed the Today's Posts and the Mark as read from the Quick Links. The Todays Posts is baically the same query as the 1 day option. Check the menu's and let me know if they make sense. |

Alright Mike, are you teasing us? I saw a link called "view first unread" or something like that a half hour ago that takes you right to the first unread message for each topic and now it's gone?

No, earlier today when I clicked on the "Get new posts" button on each line right before each unread thread there was a link like this (view first unread post) And when you clicked on it it saved you from having to hit the view first unread after you clicked on the thread you wanted to read.

I used to be on another v-bulletin site where it must have had some kind of cookie thing that knew where you had last read. When you clicked on any thread, it would automatically take you to the place you left off. I think it must be something that can be selected on the admin side.

I made no changes to anything regarding new posts or unreads. I placed a screen shot of the button I think you are talking about. When I make changes like this, I always post a heads up for everyone but nope, no changes were made.

Nope, it was a text link you would see on the page that shows up when you get new posts. I used it about 5 times and it disappeared? Right after each thread topic it had the link.
I can't remember how to do a screen shot right now or I would show you where it was. If you didn't make any changes, was there a bug in a software upgrade?

Hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard to take a screen shot that is copied to the clipboard.
