Mike,
It occurred to me that in the Goods and Services forum, it might be helpful to have a sub-forum for the For Sale items. Looking for services and discussions about services can be easily hidden by the bumping of items for sale. Another thing to help keep the for sale items from constantly becoming a burden on the "unread posts" and such is rules and limits regarding bumping. At another forum I frequent, bumps on for sale posts are limited to 2 bumps per week, unless a question is asked, then they are allowed to answer the question without it counting as a bump. Threads that do not follow the rules are closed.

Misty,
Great idea..... I always off to the community, then go to outside posts. I have many things sell to friends and neighbors in the community. |

we might be able to do something now that the business listings forum is gone. When first building the forums, we didn't want 25 different forums so we had to try to condense things. Ideally, people shouldn't be asking about services because they should be looking in the business reviews section and finding stuff there. Yeah, like i said, ideally. Maybe sometime next year a classifieds type mod might be incorporated for sale listings. But yes, in the meantime we are thinking of limiting the bumps or updates.
