Default HTML tags

Hey Mike, I tried to use some HTML tags in a post and they didn't seem to "take". I was including a link and tried to use the [ u r l ] tag (added spaces to keep it from being processed). Is this supported? Normal usage is:

[ u r l = "URL" ]TEXT[ / u r l ] where "TEXT" is displayed, but clicking on it will take you to the URL.

i just select the text i want as the link name and use this button: and paste the url in the box that pops up.

Is it maybe the "quotes" on the URL that are messing it up? I'm not sure what format is required in these message boxes, so i just use the buttons.

Yeah, but that just inserts the whole link (which seems silly to me - I can type it into the post as easy as I can type it into the popup dialog box). Using HTML tags, the link would be displayed as TEXT where you can click on the underlined word and be directed to the URL.

Oh, i think i see what you're saying.

you don't want this: http://www.countyofriverside.us

you want this? Riverside County

If you type the text first (riverside county in this case), then select it, then use the insert hyperlink button, it will display like in the second example. If no text is selected, it will default like in the first example. Is that what you mean?

Ah yes, thanks. I'm so used to just doing it manually using the HTML tags.
