Forum Update: Added Ad Banner Zone

I added another banner zone. The zone is right above the Quick Reply box.

We are getting more banner advertisers on the forums and I wanted to add another zone. This zone is not for sale as the two other zones are not sold out. I will use them for House-ads, such as Town Hall Meeting Reminders, Moosletter (Our site newsletter) promo's and other promos I have been running with our little Cow. In the future, if all zones ever get full and we still have local business that want to advertise, I may open the opportunity to place their ads here in the future.

My goal in doing this is not to run these promo's or house ads in the PAID advertisers spots which is Zone1 - Below Navigation Bar and Zone 2 - Below First Post. It cuts into their numbers since I only limit Zones to 6 advertisers per zone. They are displayed in a mathematical random rotation. So, the more banners there are per zone, the less a particular advertiser is shown which is why I hold it to 6 per zone. I may run a few house ads in the other zones but the display priority is turned way down the the minimal settings.

For those interested in having an ad, I will be updating the advertisement section in a few weeks and will make an announcement. Currently no advertising is on the main website.

In the forums, I am only accepting ads from Resident Owned Businesses. I have always felt there was a large need for locally owned business to advertise to Eastvale that was not getting fulfilled. I think our advertisers like Sara's Sassy K-9's, Pet Patrol, Lori Gillespie, Awesome Blinds and all the others (posted here) will attest that is a pretty effective advertisement model.
