This is actually pretty sweeet. but you MUST FOLLOW DIRECTIONS EXACTLY.
You can look at my profile for an example. It allows you to place a You-Tube Profile Video so visitors can watch a little "TV" while checking your profile out. Here is how to do it. The most important instructions are in red below. 1. Click on the QuickLink menu from above and click Your Profile. 2. On the tabs, click About Me. ![]() 3. Look below and you will see editable fields. Look for the field titled YouTube URL and click the pencil to edit the field. ![]() 4. Go to YouTube and find the video you want. You have to use the Embed URL, not the web site URL. Not the embed code, but the URL in the code. ![]() 5. Paste the embed URL in this field. If your video does not show up, this is why. ![]() 6. Edit the other two fields. One is a name and one is an autoplay field. 7. Check out your profile as a vissitor would and check your your video. Again, this is the important step. Paste the URL of the embed code, not the enti8re embed code, not the page URL. In this example, the embed code, when pasted looks like this: But I only need to paste this http://www.youtube.com/v/NjplYy_zT0Y&hl=en&fs=1 for my movie to play. One more time. Do not use the YouTube web page address, as is normally done in posts. You have to use the URL that is in the embed code provided by YouTube in the upper right of their page. See photo. Do it once and you'll see how easy it is. Last edited by Mike; 07-17-2008 at 02:10 PM. |

You can search to see who has a youtube video in their profile. Click on Search > Advanced Member Search.
There is a field: YouTube URL just type the letter h and click search. The results will show all members with a video.

Here is a quickie video I did. Not really an instructional, but I was updating the admin profile with a video and thought I'd role tape to show it being done. On the bottom of the video is a control you can rewind of you want.
