ERHS Track Sprints to Success!
Written by Grace Margain

Kenny AndersonThe track and field team at Eleanor Roosevelt had an amazing second year. Since the school opened last year, we have accomplished much more than expected. We had athlete's like, Bryan Adams and Camille Petty set new records at League Finals in May. We had over a dozen athletes move on to CIF Prelims; six athletes moved on to CIF Finals; and four moved on to Master's at Cerritos College in June. As the underdog, we weren't expected to beat North High School, a school known for there exceptional 4x400m relay team, but our boy's team crushed them in CIF Finals. They are being recognized by many recruiters, coaches, athletes, and community members as being the most successful athletic program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. This years coaching staff worked well together, and everyone pitched in to do their part to see that we had a successful season. We look forward to our communities moral support as we create a "Power House" in track and field. Keep track of us by getting up-to-date information at erhsmustangstrack.com. As a coach, I am excited about the new additions that will be added to our team next year. We create an environment where athletes can benefit academically, athletically, emotionally and relationally.

Coach Grace Margain M.S., CSCS

STAND.  Itʼs what we do.

We stand for the people who cannot; The people who have suffered from the genocide in Darfur Africa for more than five years.  Many people remember the events of Rwanda, but very little know that it is happening yet again.  Since 2003, 450,000 people have been murdered and two and a half million people have been forced out of their own country into neighboring Chad and the situation grows more desperate every day.
