We had never been to a Carino's before so did not know what to expect. I thought the prices might be comparable to Applebees but that is definitely not the case, but both the food and service were good though. The house dressing is a touch sweet and not too much vinegar. I had the Chicken penne gorgonzola which came in a large serving. The cheese crumbles in the pasta were a little more sharp than i expected but the sauce was tasty.

We just came back tonight. We called ahead and put our name in. We arrived at about 5:30pm and were seated right away. We went with another family so there was a total of 9 people. We were not crowded but the kids could use thier regular voices and not seem to bother. The waitress, Summer, was great. She anticipated drink refills and kids attention span. The food was great and I have left-overs for tomorrow. Still a little pricey, but you do get unlimited bread, salad and refills on certain drinks. After the meal the waitress wanted to know if we wanted to split the check (after the meal!). We gave her a good tip and let the manager know what a great experience we had. It's been a long time since that has happaned.

We have been going to the (Johnny) Carino's in Chino Hills for quite some time, and have always liked their food, so we were very excited to get one of "our own" here in Eastvale. We went during the first week they opened. They were packed, but we were seated right away. I ordered the Eggplant Parmagiana, and my husband had the lasagna. Our food came within good time, and our service was good, except they forgot about us for a while when the bill came, and it took a long time to pay and get out. However, I chalk that up to them being new and still working on kinks.
We sat in the room that faced the parking lot between Carinos and Appleebees, and we did find that room a little cramped. I'm hoping that they move some tables around over time so that it isn't that way. The server had a hard time getting in-between the tables over by the window.
All in all, it was a good experience, and as lovers of the chain, we WILL be back.
Our favorites include: pasta with meatballs (their meaballs are nice and spicy), the lasagna, and the eggplant parmagiana.
(Note: the childrens' portions are very large--even for the smaller kids' meals. Our kids usually order the small kids meals, even though they are 12 and 14, and we have never had any Carinos give us a problem for ordering those.)

The food was really good. The only problem we had was our server. We asked her about their use of products containing peanut b/c my daughter is very allergic. The server said she would ask and have the manager come over and fill us in. That never happened. Getting drinks was a little frustrating too. They were in the middle of changing shifts so we figures we'll chalk the service issues up to that and try it again.

Good food, great service, (I'm Stuffed)

Went there tonight for my dad's birthday, the baked lasagna was great, along with the bread and cheesecake. The prices weren't cheap but the food was great and serving sizes were plenty. The waitress was on the ball with the bread and drink refills; the manager even came by to check on everything.Only downside is now I'm stuffed . Everyone in our party had a great meal, and the kids meals come with desert.
We got there at 6pm and the place was almost empty.

We have been to other Carino's and loved the service and food. Our first trip to Eastvale's own was no different. We had excellent service and great food! We'll be back.

We went at dinnertime and were in and out in 45 minutes. The server was extremely attentive and pleasant. The food was great with big portions. Highly recommended!!

This was my FOURTH visit to Carino's and my worst.
The first time, all was well. Food - Great; Service - Great
Second Time: I can't remember the specifics, but I know I ordered 'Item A' and they brought me 'Item B'. The food was still good but I remember commenting to the waitress that maybe she should write things down!
Third Time: all was well. Food - Great; Service - Great
Fourth Time:
1. Ordered Italian Nachos and watched them go to another table! Another waitress swiped ours from under our waitress and served them. So now we had to wait for another order to come up
2. Finally the nachos arrive and they appear to be a jalopy of an order.
3. My salad was so OFF on taste. I sent it back after the 2nd bite
4. My friend's paninin's chicken was extremely over cooked. She only ate about half and that was that.
5. There were 2 managers, one male, John and one female, didn't get name. I called John over to complain, I have brought good and bad complaints to him before. But didn't seem to have much of an opinion.
Female manager was VERY sympathetic. Offered me another lunch item; I declined.
6. Johnny Carino's came back to haunt BOTH me and my friend about 3 hours later.
I really do like this restaurant and this was the first time I have been there for Lunch vs. Dinner. And odds are I'll try it again. But this time was a BAD time!

I tried Carino's a few years back and was so not impressed. Then I heard a nasty little health department rumor and definitely would not go back. A few years later, I thought it was time to give it another shot. The Eastvale location is perfect! There was no wait and the atmosphere was decent. However, the food (again) was on the verge of being disgusting and it definitely was not worth the price! I'm really bummed because I want to like it...I love Italian food...but Carino's just does not fit the bill. Bummer.
