Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

Daughter has received many waxes and she has never had a rash, and they don't over do it for her age! Good place to go if you are nervous about waxing, or it is your first time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Some great stylists/colorists.
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

Stephanie and Jamie, the two girls there that I trust to do my cuts and colors are fantastic! I went on a whim for color and got one of the other gals and wasn't thrilled with the results. I got an appointment with one of "my" gals and they fixed the weird color right up...no problem!

I don't do walk ins there, even for bang trims, but once you get one of the great stylists, you'll want to wait for appointments with them anyway.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): close to home
Negative aspects of the product (cons): charge too much

I went to Hair Elegance for about a year or so and it changed ownership/name in between. I've not been really pleased with any of the stylists there except one who was visiting from a sister shop in Rancho or Upland. The stylists have not been very engaging in their conversations and seemed more interested in each others evening/weekend plans or each others hair rather than the person sitting in the chair in front of them. Even though i'd get the same services, they were inconsistent on how they'd charge me, sometimes itemizing each and every service, sometimes including the cut/trim with the color, sometimes calling it a weave, sometimes calling it a weave with low-lights. The final straw came when i paid $140 before the tip for single color lowlights and a cut. I don't care what people pay in OC, it was too unpredictable and expensive.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Stephanie used to work there! She was amazing!!
Negative aspects of the product (cons): did a bad job, too expensive for what they do, rude, no customer service

I am always a blonde, I just go a little lighter or a little darker, Stephanie used to do my hair - she was amazing! I went in after a really bad dye job, with ORANGE hair, I was in tears and she fixed it back to the perfect shade of blonde! LOVE HER- Then she left to have her baby... So I went elsewhere, I started doing my own hair, which was fine, and ONE TIME I messed up going a shade lighter and about 2" of my roots came out with a SLIGHT orange tint- I needed toner, but I was too scared to do it myself, so I went back to Hair Elegance, with no appointment - they said it would be a color correction, and if I wanted darker color weaved in also it would cost 140.00--- fine--- i don't care, as long as I LIKE my hair!! They gave me to Annie-- she told me she could match the roots to the rest no problem. She proceeded to bleach the crap out of my hair, then it still was orange so she did it again-- then she toned it --- I think twice! When she dried my hair I had a bright playboy bunny white stripe for my roots then the orange that I had already had-- basically she just added a white strip to my orange. When I left, I was in the car, and my hair felt like gum-- I was going to cry!!!! I washed it as soon as I got home, and it was soft, so I felt better, but seeing it dry -- it was to me HORRIBLE! I am not one to complain, if you do my hair and I don't like it, I just wont come back, but this was crazy to me, so I went back and spoke to the receptionist, they told me to come back to speak to Rosie, the manager- I have a feeling that (Rosie is Annies sister).
She was like "okay I don't see any problem"
I was like are you serious?? It's orange yellow... it's not good! "
"well it was a color correction... it takes many visits to get it fixed"
(so I explaiined the previous story about Stephanie)
"Well Annie is a senior stylist... she knows very well how to do hair"

This woman proceeded to argue with me that my hair was fine, not hing wrong!!!!!!! That I was just upset over having paid 140.00-- I explained that I have paid much more than that before, and loved the results, and had no problem, but if I paid 20.00 for it I couldnt say much, it looked like a 20.00 job- I pointed out the lines of color she put in my hair. She still said ... well I see the roots are a little lighter, but it's not the way your saying... OMG! she told me she suggests that I let them retone it and do a weave with darker color, I said I didn't know if I honestley wanted to do anything there! She kept telling me I was hurting her feelings, and making her feel bad--- WTF! I left-
I looked on here got the name Jamie, called and asked to schedule my redo with her, the receptionist called Rosie and said Rosie said they can tone it for free but if I want any other color weaved in I'll have to pay.
I was shocked! This is ridiculous!
I can not believe how much of a B**** this woman was!
As far as Jamie goes, I'm going to see her tomorrow, I hope she does a good job, I think she worked with Stephanie, so I'm sure she's good, BUT STAY AWAY FROM ANNIE AND ROSIE!!
Good Luck!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great location
Negative aspects of the product (cons): On the pricey side

I don't do walk ins, but I do like going to see Megan. This business is on the pricey side but she does do quality work and I never leave unsatisifed. The couple of times that I have done a walk in and she wasn't there wound up costing me way to much and never got the end result I was looking for.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Darlene is fabulous.
Negative aspects of the product (cons):

I am here to specifically highlight one of their stylists. Her name is Darlene. She was introduced to me through a friend of mine who's children have african-american hair. My children have mixed-race hair and it can be a challenge on many levels. Darlene is so fabulous with my kids. She is funny, kind, patient, respectful and she definitely knows her stuff! It's a treat to have someone who can work on black hair so close to home. She makes my daughter feel SO good about herself.

However, she works on ALL hair types and her customer service level is excellent. I would encourage you to give her a try to see for yourself. She also gives out referral papers which offer you a discount on your next service if you refer others. Kind of a nice bonus.
